Candy brings you the ultimate custom effect. For best results we recommend using our Base Metallic Silver Coarse but as Candy colours are completely transparent, they can be applied over any base colour/effect to create your own unique finish.
Candy colours can be faded into each other and also intermixed to create your very own custom colour.

MTVs PIMP MY RIDE UK:
Custom Paints has teamed up with MTVs PIMP MY RIDE UK for series 3. PIMP MY RIDE UK used our Candy Red on the Daimler XJ6. Our Silver and Black Base were used, fading Silver at the front to Black at the back. Candy Red was then applied over the top.
CANDY CANZ:
Custom Paints award winning Candy is also available in aerosol cans. The Kustom canz range gives high output with excellent atomisation and high transfer efficiency with no pressure drop during application. Using our Kustom Canz range can save on time and labour without the requirement of expensive spraying equipment.
To get the best result from Kustom Canz Candy, we recommend using our Base Metallic Silver Coarse as a ground coat and finishing with our market leading Custom Canz 2K Clearcoat.
Application:
For best results use Base Metallic Silver Coarse but using different coloured basecoats will give you different effects. Candy Colours can also be used with our other products such as: Shimmer, Pearl, Spectracoat, Sparkle Pearl, Flip Paint etc.
Always spray test panels before spraying your product or project.
- Start by prepping your project as you would any other paint job. (Sand, Prime, etc.)
- Apply 2-3 coats of base coat leaving 10-15 minutes between coats.
- Allow 1 hour (maximum 24 hours) before continuing to the next stage.
- Mix Candy 2:1 with D-Thinner and stir well.
- Apply 3-5 coats of Candy depending on the effect you desire, leaving 15 minutes between coats. The more coats you apply, the more deeper and richer the colour will become.
